Sleep, Sleep, Wherefore Art Thou Sleep?

I have come to the realization I need at least 8 hours of sleep, possibly 9 or more. So after going to bed at 1:00 am this morning after last night’s Smithee Awards, I was out of bed at 8:45.

Ms H. and I spent most of the latter morning and mid-afternoon preparing a lamb stew, then spent an hour cutting paper for a Mother’s Day project.

At 4:00 pm I got into bed for what turned out to be a three and a half hour nap.

And guess what? I am ready for bed at 8:30. As I age one of the things I treasure is sleeping and napping. Now that I drink very little coffee I can sleep through the night. Except when I don’t because of little Ms. Moxie Lu Hellcat.

With a resurgence of sleep in my life, I have found aging has its benefits.
