Bad Weather is Bad Preparation

Today it has rained all day, with nice windy gusts, too.

Here’s what weather.com has to say about our Midwest weather:

Strong winds and rain will make the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley regions feel particularly unpleasant.

Why, per se, are strong winds and rain particularly unpleasant?

I walked one mile to my car, in the rain. I practiced staying present to the kaleidoscopically changing conditions: whoa, splashing car there! really slippery leaves here! I got wet, too. Rain is just water, and I kept repeating a mantra an acquaintance shared with me:

There is no bad weather,  just bad preparation.
